[Emerald Fists] Command Land Raider WIP

My second land raider is going to be painted a bit different than the first.  Instead of being all white I wanted to do an inverted scheme.  To start I painted all of the white parts and then sealed them with varnish.  These photos show teh start of shading and the final product before moving on to the green.  I taped all of the white off.  You can see that I'm not very good at taping!  There is a lot of it but it covered everything and that is what is important right!  Now it's all ready to go.  I'll start applying the green when I get some time

Spined Chaos Beast WIP

Here's more progress on my spined chaos beast.  This early into my 'escalation' challenge with a friend and he's dropped out.  He managed to get a nice amount painted but switched up armies a few times over the last few months for tournaments (he's an avid competitor) which left him little time for a hobby army.  It was nice to have the incentive to get a few of these done though.

The final colour I went with here was a spacewolve grey drybrush and a black wash.

[Emerald Fists] Wave 5

Next up are a whole lot of land raiders and some air support.  I've got a Spartan, two storm talons, a land raider achilles and another generic land raider.  Somebody is going to get shot up!  Original article and fluff on the storm talons: http://theambit.blogspot.ca/2013/01/conversion-storm-talon-mark-ii-night.html

[Emerald Fists] Legion Praetor Librarian Conversion

My Terminator Librarian is done!  I think this guy will become my Chief Librarian instead of my power armoured guy.  This one just looks way better.  Made from the Forge World Legion Praetor, I've added a bunch of bits like keys, books and scrolls to his belt, changed the weapon and added some power cables.  I have his left hand on a magnet so that I can swap it.  The plan is to put a storm shield there (a Black Templar one from Forge World) and I don't have one yet.  Either way, I've still written some backstory for him:

Spined Chaos Beast WIP

Here's the next model in my line-up as part of the escalation campaign.  I'm going to use this guy as a giant chaos spawn.  It's huge!  I'm painting the base separate but it's a flying base and he hangs over the end with his face.  As for colour I didn't want everything in the nurgle army to be shades of green (same reason my trolls are blue) and I've never done purple so I figured now is the time.  I've just basecoated him while I decide how to highlight.  I'm thinking spacewolf grey.

[Emerald Fists] Typhus - Complete

Here's my finished Typhus!  I went with a consistent light blue scheme to match the other librarians in my army.  For an older model I think this sculpt is still good.  I like the new ForgeWorld one but not enough to have both (yet!).  I also did not make the blade a power blade like I normally would and instead went with a mithril silver to black fade and then painted nurgle's rot as a few layers to make it green and gross.  I also put a few other drips of that all over the model (but remember less is more).  This is also the model required for the second game of my Escalation plan; but already the opponent has fallen behind!

Imperial Ambit Version 2.4 PDF - Narrative Book

I'd like to share the book I'm working on.  It's 18 mb thus far and around 30 pages PDFd.  Please take a look and let me know what you think.  This has been a labour of love for the last year+ and involves so much painting, and teaching myself Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.  Anyway please take a look and let me know what you think so far.

Chaos Sorcerer and Librarian WIP

Just like I did before with power armoured version:http://theambit.blogspot.ca/2013/05/good-vs-evil-librarian-vs-sorcerer.html here are my terminator librarian and sorcerer!  The sorcerer is obviously typhus which I didn't alter at all (I stripped an old metal one).  The loyalist librarian is made from the Legion Praetor set from Forge World.  I changed him a bit by adding some guitar string cables around his chest (under the armpits), swapping the sword for a power axe and adding some keys, scrolls and books to his waist.
