Khorne Bloodletters- Painting Complete

I finished these off with skull bases and after sealing them added Blood for the Blood God paint to the swords.  I really like that stuff.  Easy to use and looks nice and wet after like they'd freshly taken down some marines.  The blades were washed with a watered down baal red too to give a bit of a glow to them.  It's super subtle and the camera didn't capture it well.  It was really hard getting it to focus (I use an old hand held quick cam) but I think you can see the models well enough :)

Khorne Bloodletters- PIP

I picked up a pack of bloodletters and am painting them alongside the 3 riders for my bloodcrushers (you can see the guy standing awkwardly on the far left).  Super quick to paint up with an airbrush and some various coats of red.  I'm still waiting on my Kingdom Death preorder to show up.  Then I'll be swapping over to that stuff I hope.

Emerald Fists Dreadnought Siege Shield

I've seen a few dreadnoughts with close combat weapons and shields and it inspired me to build my own.  I don't have a body to attach this to, but I'm going to put it in my bits box for a rainy day.  I sized it for a contemptor and styled it after boarding marines.

You can see a GW paint pot in the background for scale (about the same size) and it is curved slightly along the Y (vertical) axis.  I'd like to put a hammer probably from a dreadknight in the other hand.  I think it would be very siege/imperial fist like and fit in well with my Emerald Fists.

Nurgle Chaos Army Group Shot

Here's a group photo (sorry I took about 10 pictures and none were in great focus) showing all of my daemons.  This really shows the variation in colours I was going for when painting these.  Since the rest of my marines all need to follow a uniform scheme, this was the experimenting with colours that I wanted.  Being all the same drab shades though ties them together.  Obviously better pictures are featured on the blog if you're interested in seeing something up close, this was just a nice chaosy group shot.  I also put my nurgle stuff up for sale locally to make room for more projects.

Plague Bearers of Nurgle Painted

Continuing with the Nurgle Plague Hulk, I crossed off the last of my unpainted nurgle items.  I had a full Saturday to just to watch some Hell on Wheels and binge paint these guys.  I'm really happy with them.  A two tone base and a few washes did most of the heavy lifting.
