[Fluff] The Siege of Bruj - Introduction

Based on an adaptation of the Badab War Campaign, the result of 5 games of Warhammer 40k are being used to write a recount of 'The Siege of Bruj', a compendium for the background of the traitorous elements of the Emerald Fists; my homebrew chapter.  The results are being formatted with photographs of my models and the battles.  Enjoy.

Storm Eagle Part 7 - Cockpit

Nearing the end now.  Missiles are painted, the pilot and the cockpit as well as the weapon weathering and shading.  Next up are lenses, purity seals, scorch marks and weathering powders.  I didn't go crazy with the red on the pilot since I think I prefer to have my 'wounded marines' go learn the ways of the omnisiah.  That way the Fists aren't wasting precious marines on driving.  So with just a shoulder pad, it looks better and he's more of a tech-initiate.

Storm Eagle Part 6 - Chevrons and Silver

Spent some time and added the hazard stripes and also the silver and bronze components like the engines and weapons.  Washing is needed to tie it all in.

Storm Eagle Part 5 - Green

I've been playing a lot of Bauldur's Gate II so here's the progress since last week.  Updated the spots where green would go.  Not too much but enough to blend with the army.  I'm also going to add hazard chevrons to the missile launchers for more visual appeal.

Storm Eagle Part 4 - Sponging

Now I've applied the sponging/battle damage to the model.  I think the effect looks best when applied to edges so that's where focus.  I also try to place the markings in spots where the wash pooled and looked bad.  The chipped parts break up the pooling and make it look more like grime.

Storm Eagle Part 3 - 2nd dry brush

Another day, another coat.  Just finished with the skull white dry brush.  Next to the fell blade I painted, this is the largest single model I think that I've done.  A lot of surface to cover.

Storm Eagle Part 2 - First drybrush

Having done the wash a while back, I'm onto this model now.  Just did the drybrush of wych flesh all over.  Little steps...
