Kingdom Death - Phoenix WIP1

The start of the great phoenix!Originally I had thought I'd do some sort of tropical bird colouring but after googling images, the real birds looked 'fake' so I couldn't help but think my paint job would too.  I'd also seen a few dark painted versions of the phoenix that looked like ravens.  While the world is supposed to be 'dark' I thought it was a missed opportunity for me to experiment with some cooler colours.  So I ultimately fell back on the namesake and went with a flaming colour scheme.

Using my airbrush I applied khorne red, blood red, blazing orange and golden yellow.  Then I washed it with a lot of baal red and you can still see it wet in the images.
