Here's the gambler. I procrastinated on this guy since I received it a couple years ago now? I was too scared to tackle the ball of flesh. Ultimately, I picked up a vallejo skin set and airbrushed 4 different skin tones on it in a zenithal highlight. It looked decent, and then I washed it to add depth but the fleshtone was reddish and I'm not happy with the tint. Maybe it's really warm in there...
I didn't decide on what to do with the base until I was half way through it. I'd mostly forgotten my plan from 2 years ago so that was no help. While looking through the rulebook I noticed the artwork showing the 'ornate' box he draws with his foot during a story event and figured that was a perfect way to add a detail to the otherwise bland base.
I didn't want the gambler itself to be overly eye catching since the orb is the draw, so I kept all of the colours fairly muted with lots of golds/yellows/tans.
