I've made progress on my new desk top. All of the 2x6 boards are cut and glued/screwed together and now there's 2 coats of stain on it. Once that's dry it will be time to put a sealant on it. You can also see a second little rectangle top that matches. This pieces is going to go beneath my display cabinets and I'm going to make a new cabinet to match everything else as well. Everything now depends on the weather.
Below is the old desk and a cabinet without a top. The desk will extend to cover this area.
