This model is awesome. One of the most fun things I've painted in a while due to the different types of textures I put on it. The base from Scibor is also awesome. The faces really fit the Kingdom Death theme. I did order some flowers off ebay to further adorn the base but they were lost in the mail, sadly. The in game encounter for this guy is also awesome and has really good items so I'll probably include him in most campaigns.
What a lovely finished effort! The armour especially looks really well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks! KD models really let me try new colours out :) Always fun.
DeleteWonderful job!
ReplyDeleteWow! By far the best color scheme Ive seen for the flower knight. Could you list me the colors so I could try to replicate it?
ReplyDeleteHey, everything is citadel (GW) paint. The main armour is boltgun/chainmail/mithril with a green wash, then drybrushed again with mithril. This gives it an easy green hue. The gold are a couple GW gold paints in the same drybrush maner (Tin bitz, dwarf bronze, shining gold, mithril silver and then a gryphonne sepia wash. The cloth is astronomicon grey and white drybrush. Sorry these are all discontinued colours so you'd need to use the GW colour conversion chart to see the current versions. The stone is adeptus battlegrey/fortress grey and astrinomicon grey (successive drybrushes) and a badab black wash. If I missed a colour you're still curious about let me know, I'd have to dig through my paint bin.
