I have no idea what the shoulder symbol is supposed to be but I assume it's important since it resembles the crux terminatus. I tried to make this look like some sort of stone and to add to the effect I painted some cracks on them in random patterns. One of them doesn't quite look the way I wanted but I'll let that pass.
When viewed from all angles these start to look a lot better (I like seeing the marine inside appearing to step into the exoskeleton).
Grav glow!
I thought I should include a scale shot.
Generally I am not the biggest fan of the centurions. I like what you've done here with the conversion. They definitely look more like dreadnought tactical armor then the mishmash standard look. It's a subtle change, but I think it adds a lot of vertical height to them (by pulling in the arms) and makes them seem leaner and more intimidating at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI agree; the model usually looks silly with the gorilla arms. Before they looked quite impractical and unable to move at all. While still a bit unwieldy I think they have a glimmer of possibility now haha.
DeleteI was looking back, I can't believe I built these in February. Nearly a year turn around on painting them is pretty bad.
What a good work! And also let me tell you that the marine in the scale shot is awesome! Just inspired me to do something similar but more wolf-style hahahaha. Keep doing great job!
ReplyDeleteThat whole command set is a nice cast from forgeworld. I'm hoping they do a specifc Imperial Fist one too.
