Emerald Fist Nurgle Defiler WIP

I have a plague hulk that I regrettably haven't painted yet but I still figured he needed a brother.  When a really good deal came around for an on-sprue defiler I snagged it quickly and set to work.  My buddy had a left over crab leg from an ork conversion and with the current edition and the prime targets for the potential weapons I'm not sure why I'd ever arm this with more than a battle cannon.  So here's my nurgle defiler with 3 ccw and a flail!  I think that's something around 5 attacks on the charge so he'll be causing some pain after his long walk firing the battle cannon.  Which I should note I added from a leman russ since I thought the dragon head looked dumb.
The plague hulk makes a way better nurgle defiler but you can't have two (or it would look dumb in my opinion).  So this guy will just be a rusted old on and painted white to match my Emerald Fists.  I cut up a cat toy and made a brewing pot with greenstuff and some bits.  The thirsty daemon on the back end is helping himself.  My regret here is that I didn't have a better way to fasten it.  Maybe I should quickly run out and get some small chain from somewhere?  Not sure where I'd find that though.  Next trip to the airbrush will be this guy, a dreadclaw, tactical squad and Pedro Kantor all to the Emerald Fists.  Getting closer and closer to a full company.

  1. This looks like an awesome conversion. My only thought is that it'd be worth the effort to find a second crab arm for the other side instead of the flail.

    1. I totally agree - but when I looked at the codex I wasn't allowed 4 dread ccw. I actually really hate the flail ---

  2. That is thoroughly cool! I love all the extra nurgle-y details, the various tanks and digestion pools are fantastic!

Keep up the great work, man!

    1. Thanks. I definately ripped the ideas off of various projects I've spied online and shouldn't take any credit :)

Once I start painting it there will be paint chips and rust flakes a plenty to really tie it all in.
