Khorne Blood Slaughterer WIP

This is a sweet little model.  I tried to pose him so he'd fit on a flying base.  It's a lot of little parts so I had to do it in stages, and prop it up so that it would hold its pose.  Definitely not a model for long road trips but it's unique and it's pretty scary!

Khorne Decimator Painted

Here's my finished Khorne Decimator!  I'm glad I repainted it from the original nurgle colour scheme (more photos here) and made some more subtle little additions.  This is definitely more of a Khorne war machine than Nurgle. It's not easy to see in the photos (I could not get a good angle) but if you look close you can see that I've added a bloodletter mouth/tongue and its horns behind the faceplate.  There are also skulls in a few spots (nothing too overwhelming).

Khorne Decimator WIP

I'd painted my decimator originally as a nurgle version for my Emerald Fists (more pictures here); however it really is a khorne machine with the set up I have (and I didn't like the original paint job).  So I stripped it and started over.  It's very hard to see it in this image, but I added horns from a bloodthirster and the lower jaw and tongue to the head to make it look slightly more like a daemon engine (like a maulerfiend).  I also added a shield to his crotch and in some places that needed repair work, I added skulls and such.  Those details will come out more when the painting is done.

Wave 11 - Khorne Daemon Engines

At this point, I still haven't finished my berserkers.  I wanted to finish the lord first and I needed to basecoat a juggernaut first which meant starting these guys!  The decimator is actually a re purposed nurgle one of the Emerald Fists Decimator.  He hadn't been in any games beyond that for the Siege of Bruj so it was time to use him for something else!

Kingdom Death - The Hand Painted

My finished "The Hand".  I stayed fairly true to the concept art with the exception of the cloak.  The armour is basically the inverse of the King's Man (silver on gold) which makes them look unique in the cabinet.  Lots of regal colours!  Anyway more unique to my model is how I did the cape.  I tried to paint up a snow leopard pattern on the cloak for visual interest (and maintain the brightness of the model).  He does ghost through people so maybe this helps :)

Kingdom Death - The Hand WIP

I'm going to emulate the concept art somewhat for this guy.  Not sure how I'm going to approach the cloak though.  I'm really going with vibrant colours lately and will keep that up.
